********************************************************* THE PURPOSE OF THIS FIRST RFQ AMENDMENT IS TO RESPOND TO 2 QUESTIONS SUBMITTED BY THE STATED DEADLINE. QUESTION #1: Would you consider adding the shipping and the DEA transaction fee as a separate line item on the solicitation? ANSWER #1: No. Adding a separate line item (and altering the submission requirements/format accordingly) would be irrelevant to the evaluation criteria and basis for award. The RFQ stands as originally published. QUESTION #2: Stated on the synopsis, "NIST intends to award one purchase order as a result of this RFQ." Will all products be ordered at one time (one time purchase) or will they ordered as needed? ANSWER #2: Although split shipments will be authorized (to allow the successful vendor some flexibility in getting the chemicals to NIST by the 60 days ARO deadline, NOT to get them to NIST on an as-needed basis), all products will be ordered at one time via the issuance of one purchase order. AMENDMENT 1 CONCLUDED: NO FURTHER QUESTIONS SHALL BE RECEIVED AT THIS TIME. *********************************************************
