- This announcement constitutes an official Request for Information (RFI). This is not a Request for Proposal (RFI) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intent to make an award on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited herein. Purpose: The purpose of this RFI is to gather comments from potential sources concerning the procurement of life limited used/overhauled Government or Commercial surplus. Requirement Information: The Government is considering procuring life limited used/overhauled Government or Commercial surplus for the following item: Noun: SHAFT,TURBINE,AIRCR NSN: 2840-01-187-3189 PN Part Numbers: 301-579-120-0, 301-579-117-0, 301-579-123-0 Offerors will be required to provide the following documentation with their proposals: •1. 1. Offeror's Certificate of Conformance (CoC), such as an ATA Specification 106 "Part or Material Certification Form" or similar form (with like information) containing a non-incident statement, certifying that the items were manufactured by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) annotated in this document, and were not removed from engines that operated in volcanic ash, radiation exposure or submerged, nor were acquired from Emery Express or formerly operated by Emery Express. 2. Offeror's ISO 9001:2008 Certificate or AS9100. 3. The offeror will provide a statement of availability and support from the repair source. 4. The offeror must provide documentation that confirms a minimum remaining life of 3500 cycles or greater. 5. The offeror must provide documentation that confirms no more than 3 ownerships or transfers of the part. 6. Offeror will provide a completed, original FAA Form 8130-3, issued by the USAF Approved Repair Source at the time of part delivery. The Government wants to ensure potential offerors understand the documentation they will be required to provide. Potential offerors are requested to respond with questions or concerns they have with the required documentation listed above. Interest parties should submit their questions to Breann Irving at Breann.Irving@us.af.mil by 15 Nov 2016 at 3:00 PM Central Time. Your response to this RFI is voluntary and will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this RFI. The Government will not pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI. If a solicitation is released for the supplies described herein, it will be synopsized and solicited on the FedBizOpps website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this potential requirement.
