Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center (NAC) intends to issue Solicitation VA797P-17-R-0001 for the Influenza Virus Vaccine requirements for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP),and Indian Health Service (IHS), and James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) for the 2017-2018 influenza season. Items and estimated quantities are as follows: *All Vaccines shall have a shelf life (expiration date) of no less than 9 months. 1) 10 dose multiple dose vial or 10 0.5ml vials; Trivalent or Quadrivalent; Latex Free; 2017-2018 influenza season; FDA approved for persons 18 years and older. Vial (10 doses/vial or 1dose 10 vials) VA 50,000 vials BOP 6,000 vials IHS 22,359 vials 2) Pre-filled single dose syringes with plunger and luer lock needle attachment; Trivalent or Quadrivalent; 2017-2018 influenza season; FDA approved for persons 18 years and older. NOTE: Pre-filled single dose syringes with any type of needle attached are not acceptable. Syringe (Box of 10) VA 220,000 Syringe (Box of 10) BOP- 4,000 Syringe (Box of 10) FHCC 3,400 Syringe (Box of 10) 3) Pre-filled single dose syringes with plunger and luer lock needle attachment; Quadrivalent; 2017-2018 influenza season; FDA approved for persons 18 years and older. NOTE: Pre-filled single dose syringes with any type of needle attached are not acceptable. Syringe (Box of 10) VA 20,000 Syringe (Box of 10) BOP- 100 Syringe (Box of 10) FHCC 3,400 Syringe (Box of 10) 4) Pre-filled single dose syringes w/plunger and luer lock needle attachment; Trivalent or Quadrivalent; 2017-2018 influenza season; Specifically designed for persons 65 years and older as outlined by the CDC. NOTE: Pre-filled single dose syringes with any type of needle attached are not acceptable. Syringe (Box of 10) VA 50,000 Syringe (Box of 10) BOP 100 Syringe (Box of 10) IHS 1,851 Syringe (Box of 10) FHCC- 1,900 Syringe (Box of 10) 5) Pre-filled single dose syringes with plunger and luer lock needle attachment; Quadrivalent; 2017-2018 influenza season; FDA approved and labeled with indications for administration to children 36 months and older. NOTE: Pre-filled single dose syringes with any type of needle attached are not acceptable. Syringe (Box of 10) IHS 12,781 Syringe (Box of 10) 6) Pre-filled single dose, syringe with plunger and luer lock needle attachment; Quadrivalent, 2017-2018 influenza season; Must be a split virus vaccine (subvirion or purified surface antigen) that has been FDA approved and labeled with indications for administration to children 6- 35 months of age (pediatric) preservative free, 0.25ml Syringe (Box of 10) IHS 458 Syringe (Box of 10) Award will be made per line item for VA, BOP, IHS, and FHCC requirements. The Government intends to enter into a sole source contract with Sanofi Pasteur, Inc. for the Pediatric Influenza Virus Vaccines designated specifically for children 6 months to 35 months of age, under FAR exemption 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Contractor(s) will be required to deliver the vaccine FOB Destination to Government facilities within the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Solicitation number VA797P-17-R-0001 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about November 15, 2016, with a closing date  of November 30, 2016. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325412. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
