- The following questions, answers and information is being provided: Questions & answers: 1. Can the government provide how many motorcoaches will be assessed? There are 15 total buses Volvo 9700 (2015 & 2016) on 16 routes in two seating configurations 56-seat and 50-seat capacity. Subcontractor is to determine the number of busses to be assessed. 2. If multiple coaches, can the government provide the number of seats that will be assessed and the type of adjustability that can be expected of those seats (some models vary in adjustability)? The Volvo 9700 buses have two configurations. 2 buses have 50-seat configuration, remaining buses have the 56-seat configuration. All buses utilize the Volvo Standard seats for the Volvo 9700. 3. Does the government anticipate assessing the operator/driver seat and controls area or will this also be implemented for passengers? The assessment is for the passenger seating only. Additional information: 4. Average number of riders per bus - 20-25 per day. 4 day work week 5. Length of time passengers are on the bus to Mercury (each way) ranges between 45 minutes and 1:45 depending on where they board. 6. Length of time on the buses to the forward areas range between 1:30 and 2:10 each way.
