- The US Fish and Wildlife Service has a requirement for the purchase of a previously owned truck that meets or exceeds the following specifications. Minimum Vehicle Specifications: 1. 3/4-ton or 1-toncrewcab with room for 6 Passengers 2. Truck bed length of 6 feet or longer 3. Gasoline V8 (minimum 350 CID) or bigger with Automatic Transmission 4. 4 wheel drive with shift on the fly high range and selectable low range 5. Brakes: 4-wheel antilock, 4 wheel disc brakes 6. External transmission cooler 7. External engine cooler 8. Ground clearance: not less than 8 inches front or rear Preference in order of priority will be given to: 1. Price 2. Less than 25,000 miles 3. Trucks newer than 2012 4. Fuel tank capacity of 30-40 gallons
