Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VANTHCS Research Service, has a requirement to purchase a recording system to collect EEG and EMG signals from rodents to be used for sleep/waking analysis.for research purposes. This is being solicited as BRAND NAME or EQUAL for the Neuralynx Recording System. Contractor must be able to meet ALL of the following specifications to be considered technically acceptable. Contractor must provide capability statements and product information that demonstrates it can meet all the salient characteristics to be considered for award. Salient Characteristics: VANTHCS Research Services requires an amplifier system including an amplifier, connecting cables, data acquisition software, and a computer. This system is needed in order to acquire EEG and EMG from rodents with skull screw electrodes and paddle EMGs (similar to electrodes available from Plastics One part EM12/20/1.6/SP, E363/76/SPC). VANTHCS Research Services requires connecting cable compatibility with Plastics One commutator/tether systems (connectivity with 6 channel commutator [Plastics One part SL6C] or able to accept cables with touchproof plugs [Plastics One part 363-441/6]). VANTHCS Research Services requires an amplifier system with at least 16 channels and the ability to set amplification and filter setting independently for each channel. The requested amplification range is 5-200 (preset intervals such as 5, 20, 50, 100, 200 would be preferred), low frequency filter range 0.01-100 (present intervals such as 0.01, 0.1, 1, 10, 100 would be preferred) and high frequency filter range 30-6000 (preset intervals 30, 100, 600, 1000, 3000, 6000 would be preferred). VANTHCS Research Services also requires the ability to calibrate channels with a selective frequency (0.3-100Hz) and voltage range (0.5-1000), as with amplification and filter settings, a range of presents would be preferred. Additionally, VANTHCS Research Services requires a system with high resolution A/D conversion and low noise. In regards to data acquisition software, VANTHCS Research Services requires a Windows-based system with a user friendly interface. VANTHCS Research Services must be able to set the sampling rate and to have the capacity to collect and store large files (256 Hz sampling rate for 16 channels for 48 hr). VANTHCS Research Services also needs to be able to output whole or subsets of files (one or more channels and selectable time range) into.txt files. VANTHCS Research Services requires this software to be compatible with multiple Windows operating systems. (1) High-end HP Workstation optimized for use with Neuralynx data acquisition software and hardware-64bit OS-Monitors not included. Must be compatible with Display Ports of graphic card. (1) Cheetah Data Acquisition Software is the main user interface for the graphic display and control of your experiment. Easily interfaces with Neuralynx API for online spike sorting, experiment control, and quick analysis for verification (16-channel license). (1) Lynx-8 Programmable Amplifier (8-channel amplifier) (2) L8-PS-110V - Lynx-8 Power Supply provides power for up to 10 Lynx-8 programmable amplifiers Power Cord. Power Supply Manual (1)Cheetah Digital Interface - Cheetah32 - Digital Interface Box (1) Misc - Cheetah32 Analog Cable (1)Misc - Cheetah32 Digital Cable (1)DT 3010/32 - 32 Channel 1.25MHz A/D Board (1)Misc - PCIe- DIO24 (1)Misc - PSC-5 (1)Misc - Lynx-8 ACP Cable (2)Plastics One Cables to input with (two) Lynx8 Amps Performance Period: Anticipated delivery within 90 calendar days of award, unless otherwise specified at time of order. T ype of Contract: Firm Fixed Price This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Monday, November 14, 2016, 11:00 AM, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov and should include company name, address, point of contact, business size, and product information. No telephone responses will be accepted. This notice is to assist the Government in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
