- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION VA119-17-N-0066 Isolation and Surgical Gowns The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations, Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) on behalf of Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with FAR 15.201(e) to determine the commercial availability of Isolation and Surgical Gowns. The attached draft Minimal Technical Requirements describes the requirement. 1. DESCRIPTION THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This notice is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice. The VA is not, at this time, is not seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested vendor s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if any is issued. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. All submissions become Government property and will NOT be returned. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for, or award, a competitive contract nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. It is emphasized that this is a notice solely for planning and informational purposes. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 315210 Cut and Sew Apparel Contractors. 2. PURPOSE VHA is seeking potential Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business or Veteran Owned Small Business vendors to provide any or all gown products in accordance with the attached Minimal Technical Requirements. 3. RFI VENDOR SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Veteran Owned Small Businesses are encouraged to respond, if they have the capability and capacity to meet the minimal technical requirements for gowns to support VHA. If your company has an interest in responding to the requirement described above, provide a capability statement with product literature addressing the following: Do your products meet the Minimal Technical Requirements? Are your products on GSA Schedule? Are your products compliant with the Trade Agreements Act? Is your company the manufacturer or distributor of surgical gowns? If you are a distributor, what is the business size of the manufacturer? What is your company s ability to meet VHA s large distribution requirement? SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE no later than November 18, 2016 by 4:00 pm, Eastern Time. All responses under this RFI shall be emailed to beth.davis2@va.gov. Please include the RFI number VA119-17-N-0066 in the email subject line. ***NOTE: Responses to previous RFI VA119-16-N-0654 are still under consideration and vendors do NOT need re-submit responses to this RFI, the purpose of this RFI is to encourage response from Veteran Owned Small Businesses as well as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Acknowledgement of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the SAC s review of the information received.
