- This Request For Information is being amended, as the Robley Rex VA Medical Center is seeking information for Market Research purposes on qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) with a demonstrated history of design & construction with the experience capability of relocating high dollar medical equipment such as Gamma Cameras, preparation of existing site for the installation of PET/CT equipment. The successful construction firm should have extensive experience in Design/Build installation projects of high dollar medical equipment which requires more than just plug and play installation. Experience will require that the Offeror possess the knowledge of the strict demand requirements to ensure safety and consistency in performance. The successful contractor should also have a close working relationship with major medical equipment manufacturers demonstrating their capability to design and construct imaging and shielded rooms in accordance with stringent regulatory and manufacturer specifications. The contractor will provide all architectural and engineering services, labor, materials, tools, equipment, demolition, offsite disposal, and design-build services necessary for this requirement. The intent of this requirement is to locate the existing equipment in the room (Phase 1) in preparation for the installation of additional equipment associated as part of a separate project (Phase 2). This procurement requires a high degree of complex coordination between multiple trades, as well as the knowledge and skills required for the successful connection of high dollar medical equipment such as Gamma Cameras, MRI s, PET/CT, Catherization Labs, X-rays, Nuclear Medicine equipment and requirements as well as square footage restraints for these types of areas located in hospital/medical facilities etc. The successful contractor should be able demonstrate a proven history of successful performance of high dollar medical equipment alteration, renovation an installation and/or listed as a preferred provider by medical equipment manufacturers, such as G.E. Healthcare, Siemens Healthcare, Philips Healthcare, Toshiba Medical Systems, Varian Medical Systems, IBA, ELEKTA, BRAINLAB, and ACCURAY ®. The listing of these vendors is solely for the purposes of demonstrating the level of experience and expertise required for scope of work involved, as the contractor will be responsible for recertifying the operation of such high dollar equipment at the completion of this project. Submissions to this RFI should list projects where similar work in scope and magnitude was performed. Capability statements will be reviewed to determine if this type of work was performed. Interested firms should list work and references when responding to this RFI. This is not a request for proposal, but a request of information in order to utilize the information for purposes of developing a good acquisition strategy. The NAICS code 238910 is applicable to this requirement; the small business size standard is $15.0M. The estimate range of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00
