- Amendment 0002 The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue a solicitation for the provision of Water Treatment/Chemical Delivery for the Federal Correctional Complex, located in Terre Haute, Indiana. The contract period shall consist of the Effective Date of Award (EDOA) through 12 months from the EDOA and one 12 month option period for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, equipment and materials for proper chemical installation, accounting, and testing of all chemicals utilized in the operation of the institution boilers, cooling towers, closed water loops, and water delivery systems. Chemicals are to be delivered and transferred by a Certified Trained Delivery Specialist to the site to stainless steel tanks provided by the contractor. Tanks will have full containment basins with plumbing connected to the existing chemical feed piping for the cooling tower and boilers. Service start-up, validation, and system operation training for FCC staff is to be provided by contractor. Weekly system assurance checks, monthly service reports and emergency on-site availability will be required. The solicitation will be available on or about September 19, 2016 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The site provides downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must register at www.sam.gov. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is November 17, 2016, 2:00 P.M. CT, however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to the solicitation (1449 -Block #08) for the actual date quotations are due. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 325998 with a size standard of 500 Employees. All responsible Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business concerns may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date of award is January 1, 2017.
