- This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice: The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Houston Plant Inspection Station has a requirement to procure construction services to renovate the Laboratory. Project requirements shall include but not be limited to the removal of the existing cabinetry, countertops, sinks, over the sink eyewash stations, associated plumbing, work stations and associated electrical. The Contractor shall furnish and install new laboratory benches, cabinetry, countertops, sinks, faucet fixtures, over the sink eyewash stations, associated plumbing, workstations and LED lighting per the Agency Specific Requirements and the design documents. Contractor shall perform all construction of the Laboratory renovation at the Houston Plant Inspection Station in Humble, Texas. The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, materials, services, and equipment i.e., meters, meter base, transformers, fixtures, panels, wires, piping, pumps, etc. to effectuate completion of this project. Material and equipment used shall be rated for the environment in which installed in accordance with the requirements specified in the solicitation. A firm fixed price construction services contract is anticipated for these services. The solicitation, AG-32KW-S-17-0009, will be released at www.fedbizopps.gov on or about November 22, 2016 and proposals will be due thirty (30) days after the release of the solicitation. One may download a copy of the solicitation at www.fedbizopps.gov. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO CONTRACTORS REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR AMENDMENTS. It is anticipated that one award will be made. This Request for Quote is being issued as a total small business set aside which is to be awarded as a fixed price construction contract. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation, AG-32KW-S-17-0009, is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. The NAICS code is 236220, the small business size standard is $36.50. A pre-bid site visit date and schedule will be posted in the Solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
