Description
This is a Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI) and an Industry Day (ID) announcement on behalf of Program Manager Special Operations Forces - Survival, Support, and Equipment Systems (PM-SOF SSES) to discuss compatibility between the Next Generation Hand Held (NGHH) Radio and the manufacture of Communications Accessories (Headsets, Cables, and Push-To-Talk (PTT) Devices). Natick Contracting Division (NCD) and PM-SOF SSES are conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 in advance of a potential solicitation for the supply of Communications Accessories (COMACC) for the NGHH Radio. This is a Sources Sought / RFI and an Industry Day announcement only. This is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid. There are no bid packages or solicitations available with this announcement. This announcement does not constitute a procurement commitment by the US Government. No contract will be awarded from this request. Responses to this announcement are voluntary. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information to this announcement. The Government is not liable for any damages associated with improperly identified information. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) of communications equipment, communications accessories, or integrators are invited to submit a capability statement describing their experience in these fields to the POCs identified in this announcement. PM-SOF SSES representatives, Harris Corporation NGHH program managers and radio communications technical experts, and military force modernization equipment subject matter experts will be in attendance to discuss COMACC and NGHH capabilities and requirements. Industry Day Information 1ST Special Forces Command in conjunction with PM-SOF SSES and Harris Corporation are investigating the ability of industry to meet compatibility and performance requirements of COMACC that would operate with the NGHH Radio. COMACC is the interface between SOF tactical radio systems and the operator for voice communications. The focal point of this event is the compatibility with legacy COMACC, future COMACC and new generation SOF radios. Industry Day location is at Harris Corporation's facility in Rochester, NY. Event Schedule FBO Announcement: 3 November 2016 Industry Participation Request: 15 November 2016; NLT 1700 EST Approval & Agenda to Industry (via email): 17 November 2016; NLT 1700 EST Questions from Industry Due (via email): 22 November 2016; NLT 1700 EST Industry Day: 29 November 2016; 0900 - 1500 EST Email all questions/answers to Industry Day Participants: 5 December 2016 1. Industry Day Participation will be limited to those vendors who are OEMs of Communications Equipment, Accessories, or are integrators of these systems. 2. All vendors who wish to participate must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with Harris Corporation. 3. The name, position/title, contact information, name of company, and U.S. Citizenship verification must be sent to Rick Pangelinan (Ricardo.c.pangelinan.ctr@mail.mil) with Paul Yatsco (paul.d.yatsco.civ@mail.mil) carbon copied (cc'd) NLT 2359 EST, 15 November 2016. 4. Non U.S Citizenship will not disqualify a company from meeting participation. However, Harris Corporation will not be able to share some information with Non U.S. Citizens. Briefing allowances will be made to accommodate as best as possible. 5. An agenda for the Industry Day will be emailed to approved participants. 6. No more than two people from one vendor can attend this Industry Day due to limited space at the site. 7. U.S. Citzenship needs to be verified by showing a U.S. Passport for each individual attending. This Sources Sought / RFI and Industry day is open to both Small and Other Than Small (Large) businesses.
