- Description
- North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 332812 - Metal Coating, Engraving (except Jewelry and Silverware), and Allied Services to Manufacturers. MK79 Pallet Hot Dip Galvanizing Service must be performed in accordance with ASTM 123/ASTM 123A. The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island intends to issue a Total Small Business Set-Aside, Request for Quote (RFQ), for hot dip galvanizing service on MK79 metal pallets, in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) which will be furnished at the time the solicitation is released. The end user is the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant located in McAlester, OK. FOB Origin. The proposed resulting contract will be a three-year indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery (IDIQ), and firm-fixed-price contract with a three-year ordering period. This requirement is for galvanizing of MK79 metal pallets. MCAAP personnel will drop off rusted pallets and pick up galvanized metal pallets from the awardee's location weekly. The Guaranteed minimum quantity is 140 sets. The contract maximum quantity is 21,000 Sets for a three year period. Orders will be funded and placed on an as needed basis. Any potential vendor must be located and perform all the work within a 200 mile driving radius of McAlester, Oklahoma. Estimated Period of Performance will begin December 1, 2016. The solicitation will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The small business size standard of the NAICS code is 500 employees or less. The Government reserves the right to visit any potential offeror's plant and witness the process for hot dip galvanizing if the vendor has not performed a similar service for MCAAP. The Government reserves the right to waive any or all requirements for the pre-award qualification, site visit, based on verifiable offerors who regularly engage in the galvanizing service of metal pallets. This notice replaces the presolicitation notice for W52P1J-16-T-3059. The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island intends to issue this Request for Quote (RFQ), W52P1J-17-T-3007, via the internet at http://www.fbo.gov. Anticipated release date for the solicitation is on or about 8 November 2016 with a closing date approximately 15 days from the date of issuance. Any changes to the RFQ, including amendments, shall also be posted to the website, and it is the contractor's responsibility to check these sites daily for any posted changes. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management in order to be eligible for award. All contractors who provide goods/services to the Department of Defense (DoD) must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
