- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of Small Businesses, including 8(a), HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, and Veteran-Owned Small Business firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339113. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking small business manufacturers, or distributors of small business manufacturers, of functionally equivalent equipment to the following Ellis Systems Corporation products: Hi Capacity Surgical Pack Storage Unit configured as follows: Single Faced Fixed Ranges 12 L x 18 d x 94 h holding (3) 48 w x 18 d x 88 h shelving units configured for 7 openings (base shelf solid steel, upper shelves Stainless Steel Wire). Double Faced Mobile Range 12 8 L x 36 d x 94 h holding (6) 48 w x 18 d x 88 h shelving units arranged back to back with 7 openings (base shelf solid steel, upper shelves Stainless Steel Wire). Stainless Steel Decking supported steel tubing substructure, instead of Fire Retardant Plywood supported by Grout, stainless steel ramp, mechanical assist operation. Mechanical assist operation shall only need to exert 1lb of effort to move up to 10,000 lb of weight Must be able to move 3-4 carriages at a time Safety aisle locks Clear Lexan End Panels (84) Stainless Steel Wire Shelves All Fasteners and miscellaneous parts required for assembly Unit shall be configured according to the attached sketch. Installation is required Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating qualification, capabilities, and experience for providing this product. Please include your business size with your submittal. This is not a Request for Proposal or Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. Responses are to be submitted by e-mail to Daniel.rasmussen@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 3:00 pm Central Standard Time on November 11, 2016.
