Description
Anticipated Issue Date: 5 DEC 2016 - Anticipated Closing Date: 4 JAN 2017 - Time 2:00 PM MDT Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Port Hueneme Division (PHD) has a requirement for the procurement, fabrication, assembly, final acceptance and delivery of Vertical Launching System (VLS) MK 170 Sill Assembly Adapter part number 6658779-19. The MK 170 Sill Assembly, as part of the Gas Management System, provides a sealing surface for the MK 21 MOD 0/2/3 canisters and also directs missile exhaust gases during a launch. The requirement is built to print per the Government owned technical package. All drawings and documents contain information that is under the constraints of Distribution Statement D. Distribution is authorized to DoD and DoD contractors only. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Offerors may obtain information on SAM registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-866-606-8220 or via the internet at https://www.sam.gov. The Government intends to award a firm fixed priced contract with a five year period of performance (one 12-month base with four 12-month options). The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer represents the lowest price technically acceptable. First article testing and approval will be required. Inspection and acceptance will be performed by a Government representative at the Contractor's facility in accordance with the applicable drawings, standards, specifications, and inspection plans. FOB destination delivery will be 120 days after First Article approval for the base year and 6 months after option exercise thereafter Production units will be 100 per year until completion. This is solicitation will not be set-aside for small business. The solicitation will be available on or about 5 December 2016. It is the responsibility of the interested vendors to monitor FedBizOpps for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offers that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/ amendments and considered for future discussion and/ or award. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Offers must be submitted in the format specified in the solicitation.
