- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice in conjunction with procedures in FAR Part 8. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR Par 8. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit price quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive price quotations. This combined synopsis/solicitation is seeking Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) who are eligible and are capable to provide Abbott Laboratories, Inc. I-STAT Portable handheld testing analyzers to include disposable cartridges and all services and interface supports for the I-STAT system. SDVOSB and VOSB must be authorized distributors of Abbott Laboratories, Inc. and qualified to provide technical and maintenance support. All price quotation received prior to 11/14/2016 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation number VA261-17-Q-0045 has been assigned as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This combined synopsis/solicitation incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-89 effective November 01, 2016 and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation Supplement (VAAR) current to January 7, 2010. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a price quote. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334516, size standard 1250. Only emailed requests received directly from interested persons are acceptable.
