- This is a Sources Sought synopsis. This is not a solicitation. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to identify other qualified sources prior to the release of any potential solicitation for the procurement and repair the following Cryptographic COMSEC Equipment: Noun: KIV-6 Module NSN: 5810-01-462-7870, P/Ns: 0N616061-10, 0N616061-12, 0N616061-20 NSN: 5810-01-439-8052, P/N: 0N616061-11 Total Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) for 2 years: Procurement: 44 each Repair: 54 each The KIV-6 Cryptographic Computer is a component of the Combined Interrogator Transponder (CIT) Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) System. Item Dimensions: 3.40" H x 2.05" W x 4.68" D Detailed technical data and drawings for the procurement and repair of the KIV-6 module are not available from the Government. The current source of procurement and repair for this item is BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Inc., CAGE: 80249 Any interested source that can meet this procurement and repair requirements is invited to submit a written qualification package and must receive approval from the National Security Agency (NSA) to produce and repair this item. Such approval must be received prior to contract award. The written qualification package must include the following information: 1) contractor name and phone number, 2) a brief statement detailing capabilities to produce and repair such item, 3) a list of names and phone numbers of references to whom you have produced and repaired this item for, and 4) type of business. Interested sources are requested to submit a package by close of business on 12/6/2016, no later than 4:00 p.m. local time. All data received in response to this announcement marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced separately. The Sources Sought announcement is requested for informational purposes only. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this synopsis and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
