- Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Switzerland will launch the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website when it is available. The Embassy is seeking vendors to provide packing, freight handling, forwarding, cargo storage, customs clearance and other related services that apply to shipments originating from, consigned to, routed through, and/or moved within the geographic area(s) of Bern, Switzerland. The annual estimated weight of packing and shipping services to be performed is 120,000 pounds net. The contract is scheduled to begin in March 2017 for one base year and four option years. SAM registration is required pursuant to FAR provision 5.207, and prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
