This RFI does not guarantee the issuance of a solicitation. However, if a solicitation is issued, based on responses to this RFI, if multiple Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HubZones), or other small business categories are determined to be capable of providing the full requirement, VA will issue a solicitation as a set-aside to the applicable socioeconomic category. If there are not multiple responses to this RFI from preferred socioeconomic categories, any future solicitations for this requirement may be open to all vendors. If you are interested in responding to a future solicitation for this requirement, please provide unofficial pricing information and information on whether the respondent is a SDVOSBs, VOSBs, HubZones, or other small businesses status. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requires continued support for connectivity and maintenance for the AS-13 Demarcation point (DeMarc) at the Hines Office of Information Field Offices (OIFO) including all associated recurring charges. Support includes connections for all T1/DS3 and OC48 Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) Ring for the Hines OIFO and Bldg. 37. Monthly recurring service on the OC-48 Ring circuits riding on the SONET ring is also required. The VA anticipates awarding a10 month base period of performance (POP) from February 1, 2017 through November 30, 2017 with 2 option years. The first option year POP anticipated from December 1, 2017 through November 30, 2018. The second option year POP anticipated from December 1, 2018 through November 1, 2019. Please see the attached PWS for additional details.   This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. This request does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The VA is not, at this time, seeking quotes and will not accept unsolicited proposals.   Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested vendor's expense.   Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if any is issued. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary.
