VA New York Harbor Health Care System (VANYHHS) Statement of Work 2017 UpToDate Online Database General Information VA New York Harbor Health Care System (VANYHHS) is seeking to procure subscription to UpToDate online database including remote access. UpToDate database is considered a bedside information tool because it has been designed to provide information at the patient s bedside or point- of- care, that directly affects patient care. Also, it is a good source for background information. Performance Period: Twelve months from the date of award. Desired goal: Providing access knowledge-based clinical information resources available at the point-or-care. Scope of Work: UpToDate will provide New York Harbor Health Care VAMC with access to a single online, web-based product. Authentication will be through IP address validation, eliminating the need for users to enter identification, username and/or password. An unrestricted number of simultaneous users are to have immediate access form any web-enabled computer within the NY Harbor and CBOCs. Remote access. UpToDate shall include: Consult-level summaries and topics covering Internal Medicine, its subscriptions, primary care and mental health in a format suitable for use by attending level physicians, students, nurse practitioners and other point-of-care health providers. Topics reflect current practice and support clinical decision support. Drug information. Comprehensive information in a single product. Related patient education materials. Information Quality: Information is accurate, authoritative and relevant. Authors and sources are well recognized subject experts in their field. Topics are presented succinctly, but with adequate detail to be useful to clinicians. Best Practice or evidence-based information is included in recommendations for diagnosis or therapy. Policies for determining validity and standards for inclusion of materials are well described. Guidelines and summaries include references or sources. When necessary to the topic, image, tables and diagrams are available and clearly shown. Integrated and direct links from the UpToDate topics to VisualDX are available for relevant images. Includes over 5,000 fully integrated Drug Monographs and drug-drug/ drug-herb interactions module provided with Lexicomp databases. Usability Navigation within the system is logical and easy to use. There is fast access to topics and subtopics. The product has user friendly help and directional aids. Currency Content areas are updated on a continuous, incremental cycle rather than on a single anniversary date for the entire product. The date a topic was last reviewed for content is sated and easily found. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing via email and must be received not later than Wednesday, November 16, 2016, 1:00pm EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities for which you have provided services to, proof of applicable certification. DUNS number, address, point of contact and social-economic category (ex: SBVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business). If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM), formerly CCR (see internet site: http://www.sam.gov). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing, and received not later than Wednesday, November 16, 2016, 1:00pm EST.
