- Description
- Repair of AN/AVS (V) 7, 8, and 10 Heads up Displays (HUD) Assemblies and Sub-assemblies This is not a solicitation. This is only an estimate and will not bind the contractor or the Government in any way or at any time into a contract with any of the specified terms below. This is a market survey to locate potential sources of supply for repairing of Heads up Displays (HUD) versions AN/AVS (V) 7, 8, and 10. Contractor shall be able to repair the following assemblies and subassemblies: National Stock Number (NSN) Nomenclature 5895-01-459-3051 Converter, Signal Data 5998-01-470-7465 Circuit Card Assembly 5998-01-470-7481 Circuit Card Assembly 5998-01-470-7470 Circuit Card Assembly 7025-01-589-3636 Display Unit 7025-01-589-3638 Display Unit 5895-01-470-7475 Converter control Unit 5895-01-577-5425 Converter Signal Data 5895-01-459-3050 Signal Data Converter 5950-01-370-4022 Transformer Power 7025-01-362-0980 Display Unit The HUD facilitates helicopter pilots to use the Aviator's Night Vision Imaging System (ANVIS) goggles during flight operations. The HUD supplies critical operational information to the pilot superimposed over the ANVIS image. The HUD diminishes the requirement for the pilot and co-pilot to look at the flight instruments, thus allowing them to concentrate on scanning outside of the cockpit. The U.S. Army is seeking to identify vendors with the capability to repair HUD assemblies and subassemblies. The vendors must have extensive knowledge of the ANVIS HUD system as the U.S. Army will not provide any test equipment or facilities for this effort. Any interested sources must send the following information, NLT 15 November 2016, to CECOM LCMC PRD Directorate, ATTN: RDER-PRA-CA (Michelet Audige), Bldg 6007, APG, MD 21005 or email to Michelet.audige.civ@mail.mil and dla.apgmr@dla.mil: • Identification of the contractor as a Large or Small business. If a small business, please identify as an 8(a), HUB Zone, Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, or non-disadvantaged. • Past performance for these items. The Contractor shall submit their part numbers, NSN, or nomenclature and the date of the last manufacturing effort of the same items for which they have manufacturing experience. Government contract numbers, if applicable, shall be provided. • The contractor shall cite the quality standard (either Government or Industry) that shall be in place for this effort. • The contractor must provide information to show that they possess, or shall possess, adequate experience, knowledge, production plant facilities (equipment, tooling, and space) to enable them, or their subcontractors, to support this item. All technical questions should be addressed to Michelet Audige (443) 395-1398, email address michelet.audige.civ@mail.mil
