- Draft Performance Work Statement for EARS & AUV Support Services The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) intends to solicit competitively for Environmental Acoustic Recording Systems (EARS) and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) Support Services at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. This acquisition will be a 100% 8(a) Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330 and the size standard is $15M. The requirement is to provide engineering, integration and fielding support to the NAVOCEANO Ocean Projects Department (OPD). The OPD provides solutions to complex oceanographic problems for the United States Navy. The OPD uses a variety of oceanographic systems to collect data required to solve these problems. The contractor shall provide engineering and technical labor support services to include design, manufacturing, testing, and deployment/recovery of ocean sensor products. A Request for Proposal is anticipated to be released on or about 21 Nov 16 via the Federal Business Opportunities website. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package and any amendments. No paper copies will be issued. This requirement will be competed amongst 8(a) small businesses on a best value basis. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated, with cost reimbursement contract line items for travel, materials and overtime. Industry is encouraged to offer feedback and/or ask questions on the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) posted with this notice. Please reference solicitation N62306-17-R-0002.
