Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC) Base Support and Services Contracting Office posts upcoming requirements in the Acquisition Planning and Forecast System (APFS) at http://apfs.dhs.gov/ We encourage all businesses interested in doing business with the Coast Guard to regularly review the APFS site. Requirements over $150,000 are posted in APFS early in the contracting process and before solicitations are posted on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO). APFS gives businesses an opportunity to know what requirements are upcoming and when, the scale and general scope of the project, and the points of contact for additional information. For businesses interested in doing business with our office at SILC BSS, we consist of four (4) operational branches organized by function: Emergency Services Contracting Operations Branch (COB1) that performs Oil Spill, Earthquake, Hurricane, HAZMAT Emergency Response contracting; COOP Planning; and Support for Incident Command System efforts; Commercial Support Services Contracting Operations Branch (COB2) that performs Base Operating Support Services (BOSS), Security, Grounds Maintenance, Janitorial Services, Food Service, etc.; Purchasing, Interagency Agreements, and Utilities Contracting Operations Branch (COB3) that performs Utilities and Simplified Acquisitions (under $150,000); and Supply and Base Support Contracting Operations Branch (COB4) that performs contracts for supplies and services for requirements not associated with "routine base services" to include contracts for buoys, lanterns, etc. You may search for and review our specific SILC BSS opportunities here at: http://apfs.dhs.gov/ (for our specific opportunities, you may limit your search under the Component field to: USCG/SILC-BASE). For more information and resources, please see the SILC BSS Contractor Road Map at: https://www.uscg.mil/SILC/SILCBSSContractorRoadMap_2016.pdf Stay tuned for more information regarding upcoming FY17 Industry Day in the Small Business Events section of the FBO site. In the meantime, if you have any inquiries or need more information about our programs, please send email correspondence to our Small Business email address: SILCBSS-SmallBusiness@uscg.mil
