Description

This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about November 28, 2016, to Upgrade Electrical Service, Buildings 76 South at the Bath VA Medical Center., Project No. 528A6-14-605. The primary project goal is to replace the electric service at the south end of the Medical Center, Building 76 (B76), and to modernize electrical equipment in B76 for safety and reliability. A secondary goal is for the entire B76 facility (north, center, and south) to be powered redundantly from both the normal utility source and from the existing recently-installed 1000kW generator. The project will replace specific equipment in the B-76 south service room (134B). Equipment to be replaced includes transfer switches, panelboards, bus duct, and associated equipment such as cables and conduits. In order to connect the entire facility to the emergency generator, designs are provided for the replacement and reconfiguration of certain electrical equipment in the B76 north service room (G117). To accomplish the project goals, a one-room addition adjacent to the South Service Room will be constructed to house the new and replacement electrical equipment. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 238210. The small business standard is $15 M. The cost range is $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
