Description
This is a combined synopsis and sources sought notice. Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia intends to solicit Pacific Propeller International (10210) located in Kent, WA for the repair of C-130 Propellers, NIIN 00-030-9552 P/N 54H60-111, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements . Pacific Propeller International is the only known source qualified to perform repairs on these items. The Government does not have the technical data or data rights to develop new sources, or conduct completion, for these repairs. The estimated award date for the LTC is APR 2017, the contemplated duration of the LTC is five years. While the Government only currently has the above-named source for repair of these items, in the event, unbeknownst to the Government, another source has the technical data and data rights to perform this work, potential interest in such repairs by another source or other sources would be welcome. In addition, because the items are considered critical to flight/mission (critical application items), any other interested sources will be required to submit and have approved a Source Approval Request (SAR) package in order to be eligible for repair work for these items. A SAR brochure describing the process for SAR submission and approval is available at https://www.navsup.navy.mil/navsup/ourteam/navsupwss/business_opps. It should also be noted as to this contemplated repair BOA and delivery orders, in the event a source were to obtain technical data and data rights necessary for repairs from the current repair source, the time required for approval of a new source is normally such that award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Thus a future SAR approval, if received, may be useable for future repair requirements for these items. For information or questions regarding this notice, please contact Mr. Christopher Daubert, Contract Negotiator (Code N721) by e-mail Christopher.daubert@navy.mil.
