Description

DESCRIPTION: The North Florida/South Georgia (NF/SG) Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis (IAW FAR Part 6.302-1). NF/SG has a requirement to provide an annual technical support and maintenance contract for Sterrad Equipment Sterilizers. The proposed source is Ethicon Inc, (a Johnson & Johnson Company). They are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). TERMS: 1. The Period of Performance for the contract is for a base year and four 12 month option periods. DATA: -All preventative maintenance on Sterrad equipment is dictated by the original equipment manufacturer. -Ethicon Inc is the only authorized company to perform this proprietary service. -Ethicon Inc has specific parts and software upgrades/updates that other servicing parties would not have access to. LICENSE AND ACCREDITATION 1. The technical support representative shall be qualified and have the required levels of professional and technical experience to perform the work required STAFF: Certified staff will perform: All preventative and corrective maintenance Onsite technical support Mon-Fri 8A-5P All labor required to perform preventative maintenance (includes shipping) THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 811219. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than Nov 23, 2016 at 3:30pm EST. Responses should be sent to todd.pappas@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement will be solely up to the government.
