Description

N64498-17-T-5022 RFQ This is a synopsis/pre-solicitation notice for commercial supplies as prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 5.207, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. NSWCPD Philadelphia seeks to award a firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) on a sole source basis to Olympics Controls Corp, 1250 Crispin Drive, Elgin, IL 60123. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) has established a requirement to purchase T-Bar environmentally sealed latching relays as a direct replacement of existing relays in engine controllers, gas turbine propulsion & auxiliary plant signals, electric plant signals, FADC signals, and FCS signals. Plant Switch latching relays are necessary to permit for simultaneous testing of Machinery Control Systems (MCS) software. Properly functioning T-Bar latching relays are critical to NSWCPD meeting test requirements and schedule for DDG & CG Modernization, new construction ship testing, legacy ship testing, FLT III testing, energy initiatives testing and crew training. The required delivery of the supply items is 120 days after date of award. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 335314. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and does not constitute a solicitation. However, all proposals received within five (5) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
