- Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Bangkok, Thailand will launch the solicitation on the FedBizOpps website when it is available. This Solicitation is to provide Packing and Crating service. This consists of packing, unpacking, cargo storage, freight handling, custom clearance and other related services that apply to shipments originating from, consigned to, routed through, and/or move within the geographic area(s) of the United States Embassy, Bangkok; Consulate in Chiang Mai and offices in Udon Thai and Chonburi. The anticipated performance is for base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed prices type contract. All contractors have to be registered in the System for Award Management [SAM] database at www.sam@state.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 5.207. Therefore prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
