Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE QUOTES. No solicitation document is available and telephone request will not be honored. No award made on the basis of quotes or offer received in response to this notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4 on the behalf of the VISN 4 Medical Centers will award an emergency sole source interim contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-2. The contract will be awarded to Progressive Industries, for the period covering December 1, 2016 through May 31, 2017. The purpose of the contract is to establish a VISN Contract for medical gas cylinders utilized at VA Medical Centers located in VISN 4 which includes Philadelphia, PA; Wilmington, DE; Clarksburg, WV; Altoona, PA; Coatesville, PA; Lebanon, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; and Wilkes-Barre, PA. The gases to be purchased include, but are not limited to compressed Medical Air (United States Pharmacopeia) USP, Oxygen USP, Carbon Dioxide USP, Nitrogen (National Formulary) NF, Nitrous Oxide USP, Helium USP, and specialty medical gas mixtures. The intent of the notice is for informational purposes only. No reimbursement for any cost connected with provided capability information will be provided. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 325120 Size Standard: 1,000, and the Classification code is 6830. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government.
