Description

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing the new Government-furnished generator step up (GSU) transformer bank, consisting of four single-phase transformers, three connected and one spare. Included in the installation is the complete connection of all power, control, annunciation, and appurtenances. The transformers will be placed on new foundations with new containment and stormwater provisions. The existing transformers and other associated features, including insulating oil and piping, will be disposed of under this work. Elements of this work also include completion of design by the Contractor and/or alteration of the design to match the requirements of the Government-furnished equipment. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Offerors may register on the Interested Vendor's List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Offerors are encouraged to check often for changes (AMENDMENTS) to posted solicitations. Issue date will be determined at a later date. Proposal due date and time will be established by amendment. This procurement being advertised as Unrestricted and issued under FSC Code Y1PZ for a firm fixed price contract.
