Description
The purpose of this sources sought notice is to determine if there is interest among 8(a) companies to accomplish asbestos flooring and mastic abatement and disposal at the Memphis VA Medical Center, Memphis, TN. This requirement is for asbestos flooring mastic abatement, VCT tile removal, and disposal in all areas of the outpatient x-ray area, Room 6112, (approximately 2230 sqft) and the five Chaplains offices, Rooms BW 221, 222, 223, 224, 225, (approximately 700 sqft) located at the Memphis VA Medical Center, 1030 Jefferson Ave, Memphis, TN 38104-2127. The areas may contain up to two layers of asbestos mastic and floor tiles. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, and material to remove and abate asbestos mastic, floor tiles and cove base in Outpatient X-ray clinic and five Chaplains Offices at the Memphis VA Medical Center, 1030 Jefferson Ave, Memphis TN, 38104-2127. Contractor must have all instate required licenses and must apply for all applicable construction permits. The contractor will include a copy of license and certifications showing proof to accomplish abatement in the state of Tennessee with the proposal. Work shall be performed during after-hours between 5PM and 5AM Monday thru Friday. Work on weekends shall be scheduled with COR. Contractor shall have 45 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed to complete all abatement work; 10 calendar days for the outpatient x-ray area and 35 calendar days for the Chaplain's offices. Contractor will provide supervision to ensure proper procedures are used. The contractor will provide a third party EPA Certified Licensed Building Inspector to perform a limited asbestos survey of suspect friable and Cat. II non-friable building materials.
