- Notice of Intent to Sole Source The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers -Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) has a requirement for Nature subscription renewal to American Physical Society, One Physics Ellipse, College Park, MD 20740 on a sole source basis. This procurement is being conducted using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 supplemented as needed with FAR Part 13 for Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) procedures. The NAICS code for this requirement is 519130 with a size standard of 500 employees. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC) needs to renew subscription services for calendar year 2017. This is an annually recurring expenditure. The APS electronic journal titles are: Physical Review A, Physical Review B, Physical Review C, Physical Review D, and Physical Review E, Physical Review Letters, Physical Review Applied and Reviews of Modern Physics. Period of performance is 1 Jan 2017 to 31 Dec 2017. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. A solicitation will not be issued. However, interested vendors or contractors may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to Ellaine Renee James by email address Ellaine.r.james@usace.army.mil, no later than 12:00 P.M. CST on December 2, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. The determination whether or not to compete this procurement is the discretion of the Government. All communications in response to this notice must be in writing.
