- The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk of Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Office, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract to procure Weld Wire.045 X 30 pound spool (20) EA and Weld Wire.0625 X 30 pound spool (80) EA to be used on the USS Virginia at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333992 (Welding and Soldering Equipment Manufacturing). The procurement will be 100% set-aside for small business. The contract line item is as follows: 0001: WELD WIRE.045 X 30 POUND SPOOL MUST CONFORM TO MIL-SPEC MIL-E-23765/3A ORDERING DATA: ALL DIAMETERS OF WELDING, BARE, AND SOLID COPPER ALLOYED CORED ELECTRODES SHALL BE ORDERED IN ACCORDANCE WITH REFERENCE (A) SHALL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACUISITION REQUIREMENTS. (a) ELECTRODES AND RODS - WELDING, BARE, SOLID AND ALLOYED CORED, GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR; MIL-E-23765B AND DATED 22 AUGUST 1985 (b) ELECTRODES AND RODS - WELDING, BARE, SOLIDCOPPER ALLOY, MIL-E-23765/3A AND 11 MARCH 1986 (c) MIL-CuNiAl, FORM 3B - ELECTRODE ON LARGE SPOOL (12-INCH FLANGE), SIZE.045" X 30 LB. SPOOL (d) FIRST ARTICLE TEST (FAT) IS REQUIRED, UNLESS VENDOR CAN PROVIDE OQE SHOWING ALREADY PREVIOUSLY PERFORM AND APPROVED BY NAVSEA (e) EACH LOT OF MATERIAL SHALL BE TESTED AFTER FINAL MARKING IS REQUIRED (f) N/A (g) LEVEL A PACKAGING IS REQUIRED (h) IN ADDITION TO ANY SPECIAL MARKING REQUIRED BY THE CONTRACT OR ORDER (SEE 6.2.1) OR HEREIN, INTERIOR CONTAINERS (PACKAGES) AND EXTERIOR SHIPPING CONTAINERS SHALL BE MARKED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-129. HAZARDOUS MATERIAL REQUIRMENTS: a) All material for this line item must be marked & identified clearly on each individual container & LABEL IAW CFR29.1910.1200. b) Date manufactured shall be marked and identified clearly on each individual unit label, regardless of its inclusion in batch numbers. c) Shelf life expiration date shall be clearly marked on each individual unit, must have 85% of remaining shelf-life upon receipt. d) MUST NOT CONTAIN "METHYLENE CHLORIDE" e) The manufacture is Wisconsin Wire Works Inc. and the product is Copper Alloy Welding Wire, AWS A5.8. U/I:.045 X 30 lbs. Product approved on AUL # is 3439-HM-CNO-4805.
