The Government proposes to acquire, on a five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, a minimum quantity of 318 each up to a maximum of 938 ach of a HOUSING AND LINER ASSY, OUTPUT-TAIL GEARBOX, NSN: 1615-01-376-4398, Part Number: 70358-06609-043 applicable to the BE UH-60 BLACKHAWK weapon systems. Production Lead Time with First Article Testing is 318 each, 405 Days After Contract Award DACA). Production Lead Time without First Article Testing is 318 each, 270 DACA, with deliveries to NEW CUMBERLAND, PA, 17070-5002. Forecasted quantities are: 1st Year, 318 each, 2nd Year, 150 each, 3rd Year, 150 each, 4th Year, 150 each, 5th Year, 150 each. This item is restricted to: TIMKEN AEROSPACE TRANSMISSIONS, LLC, Cage code: 1515 APEX MFG CO INC., Cage code: 2V343 SIKORSKY AIRCRAFT CORPORATION, Cage code: 78286 This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design ccapability,engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casldba.casl_cmo_samsar and looking under Standardized Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR). All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
