- Description
- Statement of Work Cover Letter RFI-263-00002 Request for Information and Sources Sought Dear Potential Offeror, Thank you for your interest in USAID/Egypt's STEM Teacher Education and School Strengthening Activity. This is anticipated to be a 5-year cost-type contract with a total estimated cost of between $20 and $25 Million. The purpose of this communication is two-fold. The first is to obtain industry comment on the attached DRAFT Statement of Objectives (SOO) as well as conduct market research, through this Sources Sought, to determine who is interested in this opportunity. To those ends, information obtained through this RFI/Sources Sought will be held in confidence and will not be disclosed to the public. Note that this is a Request for Information (RFI) and not a Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFI asks only for comments to the attached Draft SOO, which is planned for subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government to issue any solicitation or ultimately award a contract on the basis of this RFI, or to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. It should be noted that responding to this RFI will not give any advantage to any organization in the subsequent procurement. While we welcome any comments you may have, we ask that if you chose to respond, that you answer the following questions to assist USAID: 1.Are you interested in applying to this Request for Proposal (RFP) when it is released? 2.Are you a small business? If so, please specify your small business status. 3.USAID/Egypt is considering a pre-proposal or pre-solicitation conference as part of the industry outreach for this opportunity. Do you feel this would be valuable for this opportunity? If so, how much lead time would your organization need to be able to attend? 4.Are the number and requirements for the key personnel listed in the draft RFI reasonable? If not, please tell us why. 5.It is anticipated that the RFP will be released as a Statement of Objectives, requiring the offeror to respond with a Statement of Work (SOW). Does the Draft SOO contain enough information to draft a SOW in response? If not, what more is needed? 6.What other questions or comments do you have about the SOO and requirements? Responses must include organization's name, address, point of contact, phone number and e-mail address. Please submit responses to this RFI to oet@usaid.gov, no later than December 16, 2016. Please put the project title "RFI - STEM Teacher Education and School Strengthening Activity" on the Subject line. USAID may use any information provided as part of your submission without incurring any obligation. Please note that USAID is not seeking technical or cost proposal at this time. Do not submit a proposal. Best Regards, Robert Claussen Contracting Officer, USAID/Egypt November 28, 2016
