SPECIAL NOTICE THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. In preparation for a future procurement, and based on customer feedback, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MED VAMC) is performing market research to determine sources for a unrestricted, or set-aside solicitation, as it is the intent to make a sole source procurement to Abbott Molecular Diagnostic. In addition, the (MED VAMC) in Houston, Texas is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 325413 that can offer the products/services listed below: STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES Transaction Number: 580-17-1-026-0006 PURPOSE The purpose is to procure reagents needed for Molecular Section for laboratory immunology testing for patient care. Seeking distributors of the Abbott Molecular Diagnostic Brand Name or equivalent products listed below. REQUESTED RESPONSES: The intent of this Request for Information is to establish sources in order to define the procurement strategy. Also, firms shall provide their business size status in accordance with the small business administration website (www.sba.gov) for the above referenced NAICS code they fall within (i.e. small businesses, 8(a) firms, HUB Zones, small disabled veteran owned businesses, etc.) This Sources sought is for informational purposes only and all businesses able to provide the supplies/services are encouraged to submit information regardless of Business size.
