- A.07.24 Revision 2 S-500 Drawing A.07.24 Amendment 02 The following questions about the solicitation were submitted and have been addressed below. Numbering is continued from the first set of questions. ---An amendment (SF-30) to the solicitation is also issued and attached in response to the questions. For a proposal to be responsive, signed copies of all SF-30's must be submitted with the proposal.--- Question 4: Drawing Sheet No. S-500, upper left corner of drawing in the BILL OF MATERIALS, Item No. 5 Crosby No. MN G-414, # 1038004 SS thimble. I cannot find this in any of Crosby's literature, is this a good OR bad part number? I believe that the Part No. is supposed to be a Crosby SS-414. Is this correct? Answer 4: Drawing Sheet No. S-500 has been revised with the revised thimble call out and is attached to this notice. It replaces the original and all previous versions of Drawing Sheet No. S-500 in Attachment A - Drawing Packet. Question 5: From Drawing Sheet No's. G-100, PLAN VIEW - FULL ARRAY and Drawing Sheet G-101 EXISTING PLAN VIEW - WASHINGTON SHORE. Both of these drawings are misleading to any viewer, because neither drawing is showing the downstream lower NAVLOCK guide wall and how the three (3) North carrier line support towers [N1, N2 and N3] relate to their positions. Also from what information that there is, I believe that they are not in a straight line. Answer 5: The plan views, G-100 and G-101 were both obtained in the archives from the original installation. Their primary purpose is to reference lines requiring replacement for this contract, with respect to the whole array and other lines along the section. Towers N1, N2 and N3 are not in a straight line. For detailed tower arrangement and locations. See Appendix E, Drawing Packet 29026-001. Question 6: I've been told from sources other than what that USACE's has put out about this solicitation that the original installation of these Avian Array ropes were with Cortland 3/16" Spectra ropes. Is this correct? Answer: Yes Question 7: From Drawing No. S-500 upper left hand corner, Item No. 1 says to use 3/8" 7 x 19 GALV CABLE in the Part Number column and under the Description column it says GALVANIZED STEEL CABLE, however in looking at Crosby's specification sheet the use of 7 x 19 cable is not recommended by Crosby to be used with the Item No. 3 (Crosby No. 1054029), S-501 Open Swage Socket. Answer 7: Drawing Sheet No. S-500 has been revised with the revised rope call out and is attached to this notice. It replaces the original and all previous versions of Drawing Sheet No. S-500 in Attachment A - Drawing Packet. Question 8: Can you please provide us with the site visit attendee list from the November 17 site visit?
