- Description
- The US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, awarded a sole source contract to Res-Care, Inc. The statutory authority permitting this acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 254(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential and career technical training services to approximately 60,000 disadvantaged youth each year at 125 Job Corps centers nationwide. The requirement is for the operation of the Puerto Rico Job Corps Centers, located at Garrochales, Barranquitas, and Aguadilla Puerto Rico. The anticipated period of performance is the period of performance is 6-month base, two 6-month options and a 6-month Option To Extend Clause utilizing FAR Clause 52.217-8. The requirement includes academic, career technical, career success skills, and career development training, and related support services, for an estimated total of Arecibo 177 students, Barranquitas 230 students, and Ramey 264 Students and Career Transition Services (CTS) services to 564 graduates and 329 former enrollees for Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands 168 Graduates and 98 Former Enrollees for an estimated 417 students (407 residential, 5 non-residential male and 5 non-residential female). The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and service to all students as applicable. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement.
