Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source award for a 12 month base and (4) annual option years to obtain preventative maintenance and support services for the (6) Draeger Medical Apollo Anesthesia biomedical equipment and (6) Baxter biomedical equipment that are used in the Operating Rooms at the VA Providence, RI. Draeger Medical, Inc. located at 3135 Quarry Road, Telford, PA 18969 is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for this biomedical equipment. Due to their proprietary technology, they are the only vendor that will be able to service these machines as the Authorized Service Provider. Since the intent is to procure these services on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The applicable NAICS code is 811219. The FSC/PSC is J065. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
