- The Social Security Administration (SSA), Seattle, Washington Region 10, has a requirement for a licensed physician, (internal or general medicine, family practice, and psychiatry to work under a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) as the Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) for SSA ™s Disability Programs. The services involve the review of medical evidence in disability claims filed under Title II and XVI. The RMA is the lead consultant for medical consultants with a range of specialties. Duties include reviewing the work performed by the Regional Medical Consultants (RMC) or Disability Determination Service Medical Consultants (DDS), independent case reviews, and a board range of medical consultant services. No patient contract will be involved. Basic computer proficiency is necessary to complete forms, read and answer email messages and type narrative consultations. The contract performance will be at the Social Security Administration building located at 701 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, Washington. The associated North American Industrial Classification Code for this acquisition is 621111, Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists) and 621112, Office of Physicians (Mental Health Specialist). Both codes have a small business standard of $11 million annually. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. We will not consider other than a Small Businesses for this solicitation. This acquisition is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The physician selected, will be required to undergo a security background screening which will include the completion of fingerprint cards before beginning performance under the blanket purchase agreement. To be eligible and receive an award, offeror must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov and will need a Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number to start this registration. The period of performance is from March 1, 2017 (or date of award) until February 28, 2022. All questions regarding the solicitation send to renata.terry@ssa.gov no later than December 8, 2016.
