Description

RFI to VIP, Small Business, and Large Business Firms Performing Event Management Services This market research effort is being conducted by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), Direct Access Program (DAP), to learn as much as possible about the capabilities and interest of Verified Service-Disabled Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), Other Small Businesses, and Large Businesses as it relates to the provision of Event Management support services for the VA's DAP Business Opportunity Showcases and the National Veterans Small Business Engagement (NVSBE). Your response to the web-based questionnaire, available by clicking the link below or copying the link and pasting in your web browser, will be utilized to assist VA in ensuring that 38 U.S.C. § 8127 (d) (Rule of Two) is adequately considered for SDVOSB and VOSB firms both on Federal Supply Schedule s and in the open market. DAP offers unique opportunities for SDVOSBs and VOSBs to build partnerships, maximize networking, and gain access to Procurement Decision Makers (PDMs) through Direct Access Events (DAEs). DAEs provide access to procurement opportunities through structured, screened, and periodic events comprised of a business opportunity session, networking tables, and business development learning sessions. DAEs occur throughout the year with attendance which can vary up to the thousands. The NVSBE is the premier annual event for Veteran-Owned Small Businesses to connect with procurement decision-makers, build relationships with potential customers and business partners, maximize opportunities to compete for and win contracts, and demonstrate their capability to meet customer requirements. The NVSBE is an annual VA event where attendance typically starts at 3,500 and can vary upward from that point. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request, as such, neither unsolicited proposals nor offers of any kind will be considered in response to this RFI and there will be no contract award resulting from responses to this notice, nor reimbursement for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. This RFI is being placed under the General Services Administration (GSA) e-Buy and Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) websites. Response Information: Responses to this RFI must be submitted by 11:59pm, Eastern Time, December 19, 2016. Responses to this RFI must be submitted using the online electronic questionnaire available at this link: http://data.mcix.com/DAP Data collected will become property of the VA and will not be shared with any entity outside of VA. Please note that this RFI is exclusively electronic based; written or telephone responses will not be considered. Disclaimer: A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Any response submitted by respondents to this request constitutes consent for that submission to be reviewed by VA OSDBU.
