Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to an authorized dealer of Swisslog AG. This order will be for the acquisition of preventive maintenance services on a Swisslog Pneumatic tubing system at the Richmond VA Medical Center (VAMC). This order requires an intimate working knowledge of all aspects of this pneumatic tubing system which is located in a critical area of the facility. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all expressions of interest received within fourteen (14) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. Interested contractors may identify their capability to provide the services prescribed within this notice, and should provide sufficient data for the government to determine them as a comparable alternative to the intended source. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 13.106-1 (b).
