- The Government intends to issue a sole source (AstroNova, CAGE 54418) solicitation on or about 23 December 2016 with a close date of 26 January 2017 for the repair of the KC-135 Automatic Printer 7025-01-506-8161FL. Upon issuance of the solicitation, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent does not in itself represent the issuing of a formal request for proposal and is not intended to be taken as such. The requirements set forth in this notice are defined per PR FD2030-16-02302 as follows: 1) This is a repair requirement; repair is the complete disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, reassembly, testing and finishing actions required IAW the end item's Air Force Technical Orders or OEM Acceptance Test Procedures to ensure the end item(s) is restored to a serviceable condition. 2) List of applicable CLINs: CLIN 0001: Repair of NSN: 7025-01-506-8161FL Noun: Printer, Automatic PN: 497126-2 Item Dimensions: 26.0000" L x 14.5000" H x 15.0000" W, 19.000 LBS Material Content: Metal Allow with electronic components Item function: Printer accepts ASCII-coded data from the source device and prints characters in 40, 60, or 80 columns format at the rate of 80 per second. Best Estimated Quantities: 30 EA Basic Year, 28 EA Option I, 28 EA Option II, 28 EA Option III, 28 EA Option IV CLIN 0002: NSN: 7025-01-506-8161FL No Fault Found (NFF) 1 LT - To Be Negotiated CLIN 0003: NSN: 7025-01-506-8161FL Over & Above Repair (O&A) 1 LT- To Be Negotiated CLIN 0004: Data 1 LT - Not Separately Priced CLIN 0005: Item Unique Identification (IUID) 1 LT - To Be Negotiated 3) Required delivery referencing 2) above: Delivery for all CLINS will be 10 each, 30 days ARO and assets with early delivery acceptable. 4) The Government is unable to create qualification requirements for this repair effort; therefore, it will be solicited as sole source to AstroNova per the sole source authority at FAR 6.302-1. 5) In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. OMBUDSMAN (AUG 2005) (An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.) The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
