- Sources Sought Notice THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a Request for Proposal. This notice is a market research tool used for planning purposes only to determine the availability and capability of small business sources for an upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP). Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic, Facilities, Engineering, Acquisition Division Cherry Point (NAVFAC MIDLANT FEAD Cherry Point) is seeking Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Women Owned Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, certified HUBZone Small Business, and certified 8(a) Businesses with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel and capability to perform a proposed contract to provide preventive maintenance, inspection, certification and repair of cranes and auto lifts, Base-Wide at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station New River and Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. The applicable North Atlantic Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 811310 and the small business size standard is $7.5M. The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, equipment, NAVFAC P-307 trained and certified personnel required to perform preventive maintenance, annual inspection, and quadrennial services for Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) and Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE “ Auto Lifts). The estimated number of cranes for all bases is 345 and estimated number of auto lifts is 19. It is requested that interested parties submit a brief capabilities statement not to exceed 5 pages. This capabilities package shall address, at a minimum the following: (1) Examples of projects (including contract number) worked within the last five years of similar size, scope, and complexity as the work indicated. Have knowledge of the state regulations within the area of responsibility (AOR). Indicate whether your firm worked as a prime or subcontractor, contract value, brief description of how the referenced contract relates to the work described, and a Government / Agency point of contact with current telephone number. a. The total term of the contract, including all options, will not exceed sixty (60) months. Source Selection procedures will be used to evaluate and select the proposal that is most advantageous to the Government. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this sources sought. If adequate interest is not received from Small Business sources, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Responses to this notice may contain company proprietary information and must be marked accordingly. The government shall not be liable for or suffer consequential damages for any technical information identified (e.g. limited and/or restricted rights).
