- Page 1 of 3 THIS IS A DUPLICATE ANNOUNCEMENT TO VA262-17-N-0176. THE PURPOSE OF THIS DUPLICATION IS TO CHANGE THE CLASSIFICATION CODE FROM 99 TO Q. THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) SOURCES SOUGHT IS ISSUED SOLELY FOR MARKET RESEARCH AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION For: Lab Technician Services for VISN 22 1. Responses to this RFI Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this RFI Announcement is for market research only to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES, interested and capable of performing the work. Responses to this announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published on FBO. Responses to this sources sought are not considered adequate responses to an impending solicitation posted to www.FBO.gov. All interested offerors will need to respond to that solicitation. 2. The NAICS for this requirement is 561320 TEMPORARY HELP SERVICES. 3. Interested and capable Contractors should respond to this notice not later than JAN/06/2017 by providing the following via email: don.weerasinghe@va.gov (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone and email of primary point of contact (e) DUNS number (g) If respondent is VOSB or SDVOSB, respondent is encouraged to provide proof of www.vetbiz.gov certification. In addition, SDVOSB/VOSB Contractors are asked to acknowledge that they understand the limitations on sub-contracting pursuant to FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Sub-Contracting, which will be included in the impending solicitation. Further SDVOSB/VOSB contractors are asked to respond that they are capable of providing the requested services keeping within the parameters of this clause. (h) A capability statement that addresses the organization s qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor specifically for the work described below. Responses should include specific examples (e.g. contract number, point of contact information) of the Contractor s experience providing the same or similar supplies/services to that described as below: (1) Contract Laboratory Technician Services shall be provided on an as needed basis to meet VA staffing shortages for varying periods of time, from one day to a few months. Services may be requested on short-notice. The Awardee/s is responsible for providing the requested Technician Services per the terms and conditions of the contract within twenty-four (24) hours. (2) The regions that are covered in this requirement are Southern California (CA), Arizona (AZ) and New Mexico (NM). The general areas covered by CA are; Long Beach, Loma Linda, Los Angeles and San Diego. The areas covered by AZ are Phoenix, Tucson, and Prescott and by NM is Albuquerque. The following service categories will be included in the intended acquisition with locations and approximate number of service hours requested. 2. (3) The following service categories will be included in this acquisition. Phlebotomists estimated number of hours requested by CA is 122,000 and the rest 15,000 hours. Medical Technicians estimated number of hours requested by CA is 18,000 and the rest 3,000 hours. Medical Technologist estimated number of hours requested by CA is 10,000 and the rest 12,000. Histology Technicians estimated number of hours requested by CA is 13,000 and the rest 3,000. Histology Technologists estimated number of hours requested by CA is 5,000 and the rest 7,000. 4. All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database found at https://www.sam.gov. Registration must include Representations and Certifications. Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses or Veteran Owned Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered and verified with the Vet-Biz Registry located at http://vetbiz.gov --End of (RFI) Sources Sought Announcement--
