- Description
- Attendance Request - Industry Training Seminar 25 January 2017 INVITATION - Industry Training Seminar The 700th Contracting Squadron would like to invite local industry to attend an Industry Training Seminar to be held on 25 January 2017 from 0900 - 1600 hrs. The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for interested vendors to get better insight on how to do business with the U.S Government, about the online registration in the Government portals, where to find solicitations, explain the award process, and about different payment methods. Who Should Attend: Local industry - anyone who is interested in doing business with the US Government, already holds a contract, has issues with the registration process, has issues with payments, or just wants to get some answers. - Who is SAM or why do I have to register in the first place? - What does a solicitation consist of or what did I forget this time? - What is a contract or where can I find what I'm supposed to do? - What is GPC or is it worth the effort to accept the credit card? - What is WAWF or how do I actually get paid? During the first part of the seminar attendees will learn about the fundamentals of how to do business with the US Government. The link will be made between the different parts that are needed in order to be eligible for awards, submit accurate proposals, and how to get paid in the end. The second part of the seminar will be an open Q&A forum, focusing on how-to register in SAM and WAWF or how to submit an invoice thru iRAPT. There is free Wi-Fi available for 3 hours during the training session in the afternoon - vendors are encouraged to bring their laptops. Important: The seminar will be held in German. Registration: To secure your attendance, please reply to Corinna Jackson and Margit Miller by latest Friday, 13 January 2017, 1600 hrs CET (Central European Time). Please note that space is limited, and, in order to have maximum attendance from our industry partners, we are limiting the registration to two people per company. There might be a possibility of a second seminar to be held in case we are receiving a high number of reservation requests. This will be advertised accordingly. We will collect a small fee per attendee of €5.00 to cover for condiments during the seminar hours (coffee, water, orange/apple juice, Bretzeln and Croissants). We will order lunch at the Autohof Cafeteria from the daily menu. Contacts: Corinna Jackson @ corinna.jackson.de@us.af.mil Margit Miller @ margit.miller.2.de@us.af.mil
