- Description
- Synopsis This is a notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate and award to only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). The source is: HARRIS CORPORATION 221 JEFFERSON RIDGE PKWY LYNCHBURG, VA 24501-6952 NAICS 334220 Business Size: Other than Small Business The requirement is for: 1 LOT - Harris Land Mobile Radio Trunking (LMR) System Information Assurance (IA) Upgrade; LMR SR10 System to include VIDA Premier Core and network equipment, BeOn Unite Server and associated network equipment, Intrusion Detection System, Unitrends Backup Server, Syslog Server, Policy Server, relocation of the current FATPOT Server, and configure/interconnect the Nellis P25 Core and Department of Energy Las Vegas Core into a single, fully integrated, working system, in accordance with the attached SOW The 99th Communication Squadron (99 CS) requires the upgrade the 99th Air Base Wing's (99 ABW) portion of the organization's current Harris LMR system. The Department of Energy (DoE) upgraded their LMR system in FY16 to meet the new Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 8500.1, Cybersecurity, requirements. DoE maintains a Harris LMR system. Currently, the 99 ABW portions interoperate with the DoE's system; however, failure to upgrade the 99 ABW's portion of the LMR system by December 2016 will result in interoperability issues. This will lead to disconnection from the DoE system for not meeting the proper IA controls. Disconnection will impact the safety of Nellis AFB and Creech AFB personnel as the Fire Department, Security Forces, medical personnel and other First Responders rely on LMR communications and will lose the continuous LMR coverage between the areas of Nellis AFB and Creech AFB. All responsible sources may submit a responses which shall be considered. Responses must be received by 12/30/2016 at 2:00 PM PST. Point of contact is SrA Mark Mayle and can be reached via email at mark.mayle.1@us.af.mil.
