- Industry Day/Business Opportunity Day- 7 February 2017 Draft Performance Work Statement [Soldier-Oriented Research Services] The Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences is holding an Industry Day event on 7 February 2017 in Research Triangle Park, NC for a requirement titled, "Soldier-Oriented Research Services." Site Address: Frontier Building 800 Park Offices Drive Research Triangle Park, NC 27703 http://www.rtp.org/about-us/the-frontier Event Hours: The event will begin at 8:00 AM and commence at 5:00 PM on 7 February 2017. A lunch break is scheduled between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM. The Frontier Building does not have an onsite dining facility. However, there are many restaurants within close proximity. There is ample free parking available at the Frontier Building. Questions Submission Deadline: 20 January 2017 The draft Performance Work Statement is attached for reference. This requirement will be awarded as a small business set-aside. The projected period of performance includes two base period years and three option period years (total five years). The total estimated contract value over five years is $25M ($5M per year). We encourage representatives from both small and large businesses to attend, as this requirement covers a wide array of research topics within the North American Industrial Classification System code (NAICS) 541720, Research and Development in the Social Sciences and Humanities: • Leader Development • Small Unit Training • Institutional Training • Home-Station Training • Unmanned Systems Operation • Manned-Unmanned Teaming • Mission Command • Professional Self-Development • Tank Gunnery • Small Arms Marksmanship • Air Defense Artillery Operation • Autonomous System Supervisory Control • Human-Machine Collaboration • Warrior Skills and Battle Drills • Troop Leading Procedures • Dismounted Infantry Skills In order to maximize industry participation, attendance is limited to the first 75 vendors who respond (one person attending per vendor). Portable electronic devices such as laptop computers, tablets, and smartphones are not allowed in the Industry Day facility (Department of Defense section of the Frontier Building) unless they are federal Government issued. These devices are allowed within the common areas of the Frontier Building, but they are not allowed on the fifth floor of the facility where the Industry Day event is being held or the fourth floor area occupied by the Army Contracting Command.
