- Tablet Worksheet Sources Sought The Defense Logistics Agency is the Department of Defense's largest logistics combat support agency, providing worldwide logistics support in both peacetime and wartime to the military services. The purpose of this source sought notice is to gain knowledge of potential Small Business Manufacturing sources who can provide commercial off the shelf (COTS) Tablets that meet the minimum requirements. DLA Troop Support is seeking small business manufacturers of Tablets with the following operating systems: Android (Amazon Fire or Android 6.0), IOS (9.0 - 10.2), and Windows (8 or RT), or Acceptable Alternates. Minimum requirements are listed in the attached worksheet. A contractor proposing an Alternate shall furnish the data necessary to clearly describe the characteristics and features of the alternate product being offered. Data submitted shall cover interchangeability and other characteristics of the offered product. Please provide a cross reference list comparing the features and capabilities of the alternate item offered to the exact item listed sufficient to enable the Government to determine whether the offered alternate product is equal to the product cited. Small business dealers or manufacturers who are able to provide their own product or that of another small business manufacturing or processing concern are encouraged to submit a statement of their capabilities (Capability Statement) and the specific commercial off the shelf (COTS) products that could meet the requirements in the attached worksheet for any of the three operating systems listed or an Acceptable Alternate. The Capability Statement shall not exceed three pages and include the following information: company name, business size (large or small - NAICS code 334111), cage code, address, point of contact, email address, and phone number. All responses shall also include the attached worksheet, indicating what product (brand, model #, manufacturer) will satisfy such requirements as well as the monthly production capacity of the manufacturing source. All responses shall be submitted in writing to Mary Ryan at mary.ryan@dla.mil by 3:00 PM EST, January 5, 2017. This sources sought is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bid or proposals. It is not to be interpreted as a commitment by the Government. This sources sought notice contains the most current information available and will be the only information provided by the DLA Troop Support. Any responses received may be used as market research to determine an acquisition strategy.
