- ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. • The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center (NIH CC), Department of Transfusion, intends to enter into a contract on a sole source basis, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) and FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii) and HHSAR 306.302-1 (a) (2) (ii), a contract to purchase services for: •Preventative Maintenance Agreement for Repair and calibration of 28 Centrifuges This request is for continued maintenance of the department's centrifuges which spin and separate blood/blood products for patient care, this service will allow for workflow to continue with little or no interruption to meet patient's needs. No other provider is able to repair and maintain them with quick turnaround, quality of service and work, while providing all documentation required by regulatory agencies However, if there are sources able to perform the requirement, they must respond by submitting a capability statement within 3 days of publication of this synopsis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 3 days of publication of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Deliveries should be Hand Carried or sent via other mail or package Delivery Services. NO COLLECT CALLS OR FACSIMILE TRANSMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. RESPONDENTS MAY SUBMIT THEIR CAPABILITY STATEMENTS VIA E-MAIL TO THE POINT OF CONTACT LISTED IN THIS NOTICE INTENT SYNOPSIS. The Clinical Center (CC), plans to procure, on a sole source basis to Thermo Fisher Scientific,28 Schenck Parkway, Ashville, N. C. 28803 Bldg. 2 Suite 400. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and 13.501-(a)(1) to use simplified procedures for commercial acquisitions. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 811219 and the business size standard 15 million. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. All responses must be received no later than January 9, 2017 at 9:00 am, Eastern Standard Time.
