Description
Sources Sought Survey The 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas is conducting market research to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to repair a 30 inch sewer main and install a new manhole. This is not a Request for Proposal, rather a market research method to determine the availability businesses for a potential Firm-Fixed Price type contract. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought posting. The required work will include providing all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision and other items necessary to perform all operations required in the Project. The work to be accomplished includes: 1. Remove and store, for reuse, parking lot fencing. 2. Bypass and control sewage flow during construction. Meter flow while bypass is in operation and submit to government recorded flow rates when bypass operation is complete. 3. Reroute traffic in accordance with TxDOT requirements and IAW section 01 14 00 WORK RESTRICTIONS. 4. Excavate, remove, and replace the first 50' of main sewer RCP and corresponding materials from the MH 20-510 connection out towards MH 21-04. 5. Fill excavation site and repair the affected road, parking lot, curbs, and ground to their pre- existing conditions before ground erosion. Compact soil areas to merge with areas natural drainage slope. Immediately protect exposed soils from erosion with an approved method IAW specification section 01 35 35 ENVIRONMENTAL PROETECTION. 6. Structurally repair manholes MH 20- 510 and MH 21-04 using an approved Cementitious Repair Method (CRM). Stop infiltration using appropriate products and methods (injection grout/hydraulic cement). Fill holes, joints, honeycombs and around pipe penetrations with a Cementitious Repair Material as needed. Use ASTM 1216-09, Appendices X1-X7 to determine the thickness of Protective Coating Material (PCM), to apply. Apply PCM according to manufacturer recommendations. 7. Design, and install a new precast concrete manhole IAW section 33 30 00 SANITARY SEWERS. 8. Install approximately 700 linear feet of 30" diameter Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) in the existing sewer line from MH 20-510 to MH 21-04 with structural fiberglass liner using UV cured CCIP process. Contractor to submit product data ten days after NTP. 9. Repair fencing that was damaged by the shifting soil caused by the sinkhole. The magnitude of construction for this project is $250,000 and $500,000.
